This piece, Mystical Unicorn has a unique story behind it. Lately, I’ve been having conversations with my partner on what our ideal spirit animal may be - that unique creature which carries similar traits, behaviors, and ways of being. I’m the type of person who comes up with a full list, and then narrows down from there, as I consider myself to be an investigator. I was between cat, unicorn, and bird. Unicorn was ultimately my most perfect match in the end. Plus, to add I have been obsessed with unicorns lately. I find myself to be fierce, beautiful, and proud as an individual. Although my horns don’t contain magical healing qualities, I do believe my aura is healing and for the most part other’s like my company. I think it’s always wonderful to compliment yourself and consider all your positive qualities, versus focusing on your negatives. I created this painting to provoke a conversation on what your spirit animal may be – what characteristics do you share and embody with your animal?
