Sun, Here I Come was inspired by the story regarding my early morning rise in Barcelona. I went to bed at 9:30pm and woke up at 5am to a large man snoring like a grizzly bear at my hostel in Barcelona. I tried to wake him up by pulling his body, tapping him, and placing a light and alarm in his ear, but he wouldn't awaken. After 10 minutes of trying, he woke up, just to fall back asleep 10 minutes later. Instead of filling with frustration, I decided to head out and catch the sunrise on the beach. As I'm walking towards the ocean, at exactly 7:47am at al mar de Las Ramblas area, I noticed the beautiful gold, orange, red, and blue hues of the sky. By 8:26am, I reached Barceloneta Beach just as the sun rose super bright in the skyline! I was so expired by the colors, I decided to create a painting with them!
