Earthtone No. 1 was inspired by my travel encounters at Bangkok's jungle island, the Green Lung. This jungle is pretty secretive and off the beaten track - not many foreigners and local thais are aware that this jungle even exists! I was told by my friends about this amazing green haven in the midst of Bangkok years back. The easiest way to get to the Green Lung is to take a small long tail boat across the Chao Phraya River. The ride costs only 10 baht, the equivalent of $0.30 cents. Once we cross to the other side, we rent bicycles and ride around the whole island. It's so beautiful and pristine, and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok. We can't even see any buildings from the island- it truly feels like a hidden paradise.

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas, sealed with two coats of acrylic gloss varnish. 

Dimensions: 11.8in (length) x 11.8in (width) x 1.4in (depth) 

This acrylic painting is stretched on a 1.4in frame. 

Wooden stretcher bars will remain on the canvas for shipment.

This painting has been photographed to show its colors as similar to reality as possible, however different screens may show colors slightly different depending on the device you are viewing it from.
